Larry was a Central High graduate. He was the son of Phyllis & Tommy Huddleston. Husband of 18 years to Mary.He was dad to Anastasia,Bryce,Brent and unborn Huddleston. He was a brother to Jimmy. Most of all he was the life of the party and a friend to all. Rest my friend.

He died as a result of injuries received in the Phillipines. He was one of the first recipients of a kidney transplant at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN. His body was willed to science for Kidney research in the hope that others would not suffer as he did.
He was a good friend, father and a devoted Christian. 1961

--Johnny Payne
(1965?)
One of the finest multi-sport personalities to ever come from Knoxville. He was best known as an all-star football player whose career was cut short by cancer. He never got to play at North Carolina, but for those of us who remember him, remember him mostly by his smile. He had an easy manner to him up to the end. Number 10, Johnny Payne, still bigger than life. 1962
--Eddie Pyne
(1998)
Eddie was my favorite fishing buddy, nascar fan, someone to share a cold brew with, and my brother. He enjoyed Tennessee football, the Braves, the Falcons, and women. He could be hard to deal with at times but he was worth it and is still missed. 1964
--Sandra Newman
--Hillary Taff
(1995)
1968
--Alex Hamilton
(1986)
Alex was a rambling man. Where ever he laid his head down, he called home. An enigma to some. He found himself at peace where some never find it. Within himself. His only son is a college professor at the university of New Mexico. He would have been so proud. Just like the rest of us. He would have also been surprised to find out he also had a daughter, Danielle. You sly dog.
--Gwenda Hill
(1990)
Killed by a drunk driver while her son was in Navy boot camp. 1969
--Steve Myers
(Not sure)
Another one bites the dust. So long Skimmie.
--Donna Willis
(July 16, 1988)
My mother passed away in a car accident in Halls. It was the summer before my Junior year and I was 15 years young... After her passing, my aunt (also a graduate of 69), Pam Willis, finished raising me along with her two boys as a single parent. She definitely stepped up to the task at hand. My mom was a wonderful person who worked hard and provided for the two of us. She was employed by Levi's for many years. RIP mom for I know your life here had many twists and turns ~ some not for the good ~ but now you have the peace you so much deserve with our Savior Jesus Christ... 1970
--Donna Carter (Ferguson)
(2007)
Donna was sort of a late bloomer in that she really came into herself after raising her family. She went back to school and earned her degree. She taught high school physics and chemistry. She left behind many friends and associates who recognized her gifts and shared her excitement for living. Missed by her lifemate mostly. Johnny Ferguson put her on a pedestal, right where she belonged.

Gary was known as the "wiz" to those who were close to him. When I think of Gary, I think of the Stones song "Wild Horses". So long pal. 1971

If you know any info please contact the local police. I will never forget her. I named my son after her and my heart will never ever be the same. Michelle, to you I say thank you for being the best friend in the world. I can't wait until I see your beautiful face again. --Keith Herd
--Maurice Tate
(Not Quite Sure)
What I know is this. He was my first friend in Gymn class, and I am not even sure who we had as a teacher. From what I have heard of his death, there seems no chance that anyone will write a kind word for him in his passing. Well friend, your name has long been laughed at among those who think they acheive things without the help of god, man, or woman. You and I had a bond back in the day. As far as I can see, that was love and you may have attained Godness before even me. I do know that people don't rob unless they are desperate, do drugs because it is always fun, or get shot for know reason. And that is not a typo my friend. If it takes me to pardon you even after you were gunned down, then we welcome the term vigilante justice, anarchy, riot squadrons on both sides, and the yin with the yang. What I know is that you were my friend once, and if it is up to me, let it be said of you, it will be good to see you in whatever heaven there happens to be waiting for us in the after math of this universe. I always loved your angles and squares, even though you lost your compass somehow. Now, let the stars guide you on your way home. Peace be with your soul as if it has not yet passed. For you Maurice. Be Well. 1989 (?)
--Ted Harrison
(December 12, 1999)
Ted Harrison passed away in 1999 from brain cancer. Those who knew Ted remember his love for basketball and the North Carolina Tarheels. He could most often be found in the Central Baptist Family Life Center calling next up! Once while receiving treatment at Duke University he and friend Ben Johnson managed to get into Cameron Indoor and shoot some hoops. While a UNC fan, this was a huge thrill for Ted.
Ted's life wasn't the easiest road, but that prepared him for what was to come. His mother said he once made the comment that God knew he could handle the cancer. And he did with a power and grace that few could. Even shortly before the end, he was playing ball on a leg that wouldn't cooperate because that part of his brain had been attacked.
Because Ted loved Christ as his Savior I'll see him and play ball with him again. Until then he'll live on in my memories and my heart.
